As you may know, RIM is working on the Storm 2 9950 (aka BlackBerry Odin), the successor to the Storm 9530 Crack Berry in a position to pre-production BlackBerry Storm 9550 and show them to the world in the video below.

Quick thoughts:

  • The hardware is much better – that’s what Storm “1″ would have. It feels good in your hand and the concept is nicely executed. Improved technology around the clock. Examples: Better integration of the battery cover (no need for “feet” for the mistreatment, the speaker connector or hook to the door in place, closer tolerances (no gaps / light) buttons are part of the ad
  • Click on the screen is easy to use – on condition that if in 9550 the market for the operating system running as quickly and smoothly as it is a non-touch BlackBerry, I think * maybe * I could my keyboard and my daily driver. Watch the video to see in action. RIM the principle of the separation of navigation confirmation is the same, but the actual SurePoint Press / Press True / What it is, was better. Certainly a better feeling when typing. The ad is still a bit (you can feel a physical movement, while you down) and the glass is solid.
  • The operating system is essentially the same – the hardware in the video with a version of OS 5.1, with the 9530/9500 storm will soon be improved to 5.0, the fundamental difference between the device and software Storm 1 Storm 2 is probably negligible. The Storm new device has more memory, run smoother, but for a basic use / Visual / apps are not more important is changing.
